listening to hastert on fox....

when asked 'should hezbollah be destroyed?"

he stammers, stutters, hem/haws and then says:

"hezbollah's a 'partý'

i would favor diplomacy"

state.gov

Lebanese Hizbollah:

Syria continues to provide safe haven and political cover to Hizbollah in Lebanon, a group responsible for killing hundreds of Americans and numerous others in the past. Syrian support for Hizbollah continues to be a major impediment towards progress in our counterterrorism efforts. Syria allows resupply of Hizbollah from Iran via Damascus. Syria also allows wanted Hizbollah terrorists, including Imad Mugniyah, to transit Syria and find haven there. The Syrian military presence in Lebanon supports Hizbollah actions there.

hastert is an idiot....

convinced the current crop of republicans majoritydeserves to get booted out this election cycle

Here's an idea that might have some merit. If Israel attacks the Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Bakaa valley, might be a good time for USA to attack Syria from Iraq. Between the pressure on two sides I bet Syria would collapse quickly and it would sure put not only Hezbollah but the entire Arab world off balance. We could use the Kurdish alongside for the Syrian invasion, the arguement being, Syria is supporting terrorists in Iraq, which of course they are. jdn
