This is as much a warning to iran and syria. You are right that the risk hizbollah supplies for israel is controllable but that it is directly proportional to the type of weaponry they get. So what the israelis need to do, if possible, and its a big if is to separate sunni syria from iran. That can be done with a Golan deal. Given the missile technologies now being used against israel, even if the syrians rearmed Golan which is doubtful once an agreement is reached, the only threat is to the farmlands below. Would syria trade their junior role to iran for return of golan and return to sunni arab fold?
Assuming the above doesnt happen, the iran/syria/hizbolla terror highway needs to be disrupted. Neither the territory of syria or iran should be sacrosanct when doing this. By the way syria is the only way goods can be smuggled into lebanon. This assumes lebanon govt cuts off any air supply to hizbollah. The maps are very interesting. Syria is a complete block to iran penetration of the area beyond shiaa iraq.
