Just as governments have devalued fiat currencies as it suits their needs of retaining control and stopping anarchy and chaos as they define it. Absolutely correct. Nor do I see any orange growers keeping their oranges from the USAF YF-22s or Army tanks either. Right You are beginning to see the light. If they pull the liquidity out of the swamp - lots of investments go down in price. Who has the real power? I have seen mighty crocodiles and alligators die when thier swamps and rivers were drained - who had the real power? Just like an alligator with no swamp is useless - so is a goldbug in an engineered society - when the water comes back - the gator gets powerful again. I guess the equivalent for the goldbug would be mass anarchy and choas - no centralized military or police force and a lawless state - that is not a future I am predicting in clearwater florida. Mad Max needing guns to get what he needed to live however - gold wouldn't do it - gold only works while there is some level of civilization. So you hope for this precarious area between total anarchy and some government control and engineering. In the above strawman scenario, whoever has the biggest gun. HAHA! Right! Yet goldbugs without any REAL POWER to stop the gubbment currently who have the janet reno tanks and the YF22's want me to believe that if I walk over to the coin store I can counter the power of the gubbment who make the laws and have the militaries to enforce them. When Italy started getting mass invasions from the mongrel hordes - Rome had lost its power to enforce government expectations. When I see chinese or indian soldiers shooting up citizens at the mall in clearwater florida - I may believe in the goldbug meme - until that day - your gold does nothing for me here - it won't stop the gubbment just like an orange won't stop them either. The elites are controlling the wagon train and not enough indians are knocking the reigns of control out of thier hands.

Oranges, Tank, Gold - Rock Scissors Paper - who wins? The problem is not the guy with the gold coin or the guy with the orange who is throwing it at the tank - the problem is if he doesn't comply the tank creates a void where his head used to be. There are still too many people that control the tanks that believe gold is not going to be our "MONEY" therefore they have the power to enforce thier belief system while the gold bugs and orange bugs are just living in thier world eh? When 1/3rd of congress is made of Ron Pauls instead of just 1 out of 500 - then I will take you seriously goldbug that times are a changing. So far the will of the people that are active enough to get up and vote shows gold MONEY is not high on the list eh?
