The trouble I have with that is we have tried to be peace brokers for decades and where has it gotten us?

Nobody takes us seriously as peace brokers anyway. What credibility do we have?

I agree but lasting peace is not possible as long as terrorist organizations yield so much power in palestine and neighboring countries. The best you can get as long as hamas, hezbollah and others have so much power is a temporary cease fire whenever they are losing so they can regroup. The muslims goal is to expel all of the jews out of the middle east. They will not stop fighting unless they achieved that goal and if they did they would just fight each other.

I really believe that if the United States gave Israel all of their property in the Aleutian Islands and moved them there within 25 years they would be as prosperous as they are now and the middle east would still be one crisis after another.

I think the US' role should be to broker peace.
I think that the USA role should be to mind their own business.
