If Leiberman can't win as a Dem, and needs Repugnican votes to do so, he SHOULD run as an independent. I'm an independent too. He would never get my vote, based on his VOTING record, not his "qualifications" - whatever they are. Some observers of the race are now saying he can't even win as an independent. This is the result I'd prefer - a clear message to the Dems that we want a REAL opposition party, not the tweedledum / tweedledee parties offered by the DLC and the Repugnicans, with both seemingly offering nothing but continuous war. Lamont is a young entrepreneur with new ideas ready to shake things up.
