When you think the DLC is too far right for you and you refer to the republicans as the "repugnicans", can you REALLY say you're an "independent"?

I like ya', but ain't no way I would classify you as an independent.

J. Chris...that's exactly what we've had for the last 34 years or so. That's why the Dems have been losing ground in Congress and have only had 12 years in the Whitehouse in the last 34.

Nancy Pelosi couldn't get elected in 95% of the congressional districts in the country, yet she's the LEADER of this real political party.

You don't want a real opposition party, you want a real OPPOSED party. A party opposed to things that the general population ISN'T opposed to.

You probably want a "straight talker" like Dean to get the nomination and "tell it like it is" during the campaign.

If Dean had been nominated he would've been creamed in 2004 and made Kerry's result look like a major victory.
