If u look at India / Pakistan : India is multi religious, etc etc... no peace there...

The question was not whether Israelis should give up being Jewish in order to gain peace, it was whether being a Jewish nation at constant war is preferable to being an integrated nation at peace.

The history of the Oslo disaster should tell you: the Israelis would prefer it, and would enter a Benelux arrangement, but the Arabs wouldn't prefer it. Why? Religion. THEY must rule, they cannot cooperate.
