Even if there is consensus that some amount of warming is happening and humans contribute to it, it doesn't answer whether the warming isn't part of the typical cyclical trends in the climate, how much human input has changed that trend (is it significant as far as causing consequences?), do we understand enough about warming trends to say it can or should be changed, and do we know if trying to change climate trends will not have even worse, unknown adverse consequences?

I would like to see those questions answered before I sign up as a believer. I haven't seen that so far. So leaping to the conclusion that we must and can do something toute suite about warming hangs on a very shaky limb of logic and proof.
