Is that what you are suggesting? BTW here is the primitive question from elementary physics that should be easy for the person, like yourself, who studied calculus too much :-)). Let say the distance between A and B is 10 miles and the distance between C and D is also 10 miles. The road between A & B is flat and the road between C & D goes over small hills. Now the car spent X gallons of gas while traveling from A to B and Y gallons while traveling from B to C. The car was traveling at the same speed. Part 1: which one is true: a) X=Y b) X>Y c) X<Y d) X=-Y e) all of the above :-)) Part 2: why? (The time that was allowed for that problem in the 7th grade was 120 seconds which was way too much)
