hello lg, i am supportive of any and all efforts to shutdown every gold mine in the world, for environmental, socio-economic, political, and any and all reasons that would not hurt the physical value of already mineralized moolah.

gold is not like ivory.

ivory trade ban stops elephants dying from ivory hunters, and old ivory sells for pittance these days, because of the difficulty / hassle.

gold has value, and a ban on gold trade is difficult to enforce globally, especially when central banks and fort knox hold same

gold mines, on the other hand, in my book, are no longer necessary.
