The NYT article I posted a few posts back about the Arab world tilting to Hezbollah is very disturbing for long-range US plans. I don't see how the US can become a regional leader, spread democracy and reinvent everyone in a healthy, western image when we end up on the wrong end of a very polarized atmosphere. The situation is getting much more complicated than, "Ya know, they need to stop this shit." Much, much more complicated.
