Shane, I still spend a lot of time on the market, though poker is my first priority. I have seen a million black box programs. Nearly all of them go bust. The others, my guess is they just haven't gone bust yet. A very few people make money timing the market. Most don't. I think the key is not your timing model, but your money management model. Most timing models are average to below average relative to random. But, if you use the right instruments to trade and have a policy of viciously cutting losses, they may not kill you.
