"First, do you ACTUALLY believe that brinker would print statistics in his newsletter that were flat-out wrong?"

Are we going to play this game again. You made Brinker look like the biggest crook in the world when you started asking for examples of lies under his internet alias and on the radio.

Yes, I would say he would print flat out lies. He did on his website. ONly changed them about 10 days ago. Claimed to have some 5 yr 10 yr and 15 yr Top timer claim. When it was brought up that Brinker was 5th or whatever in hulbert he took that down and put up the more nebulous claim that has nothing to do with his fund picking and in addition is totally bogus because it leaves out his biggest long term holding for up to 1/3 of a portfolio. That investment was based on monies taken out of the portfolios in Jan 2000. The LONG TERM INVESTMENT is still open and is still, are you sitting down Dija? Brinker's biggest LONG TERM INVESTMENT the QQQs are still down more than 50%. As Brinker said yesterday when talking to a shill about the last bear market when the S&P fell 49% "That's a big deal dija". So your man Brinker is HIDING a "Big Deal" and you are whining about how his rated when HIDING a third of his portfolio I? How dishonest are you? We know about Brinker.

Is this LONG TERM POSITIONN (6 yrs) for up to 1/3 or a Portfolio that Brinker recommened still OPEN or not Dija? If yes, then you are putting lipstick on a pig and helping the pig claim it's a ballerina. If you claim Brinker has closed out his Long Term Position in QQQs bought with money raised from his tactical asset allocation call in Jan 2000, please give me the date and the link to that.

"
MARKETIMER is projecting a significant countertrend rally which is expected to be led by the Nasdaq 100 Index. We expect this rally to persist over a period of approximately 2-4 months, and to generate Nasdaq gains in excess of 20% from the vicinity of the recently established Nasdaq closing low point.

We view this projected Nasdaq rally as a significant trading opportunity for MARKETIMER subscribers seeking potential short-term capital gains. Our clear vehicle of choice for this opportunity is the Nasdaq 100, which is traded on the American Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol QQQ.

We recommend MARKETIMER subscribers with aggressive objectives invest 30% to 50% of existing CASH RESERVES in the QQQ shares in order to exploit this opportunity. Also, we recommend subscribers with conservative investment objectives invest 20% to 30% of CASH RESERVES in the QQQ shares in order to take advantage of this opportunity.

MARKETIMER will provide follow up guidance for this short-term opportunity in regular monthly editions, and, if necessary, in follow up bulletins.

We recommend subscribers interested in taking advantage of this recommendation act immediately."

Dija

>>>The FACT is, his P1 and P2 beat the active/passive portfolio by a WIDE margin over 5 years. So you are flat WRONG in saying his P1 and P2 did worse than the index.

Your statement is true but it has nothing to do with what shres is claiming. Remember we are talking about Hulbert constructing a Hypothetical portfolio using index funds for when Brinker is invested in the stock market and treasury rates when he is out of the market. Shres is claiming that Brinker's fund selections beat the index funds Hulbert used for the time Brinker was in the market. I am highly skeptical of that claim. Your statement above compares Brinker's P1 and P2 to the index for the last five year. I hope you understand the difference.
