At the end of the day their stated purpose is to eliminate Israel, that's all that matters.

Certainly from the Israeli perspective, this is all that matters.

Now the question is how this crisis is resolved in a manner where all sides can save face and still undermine the legitimacy of Hizbullah's cause in fighting Israel.
