Might you have a vested interest in what happens there, and the outcome? :) Personally don't understand what's going on there enough to feel comfortable taking a side. You probably do. If Israel isn't making a buffer zone, what do you feel the point of pushing to the Litani River is? The buffer zone is the only thing that makes sense to me but my knowledge of the area is limited. They certainly seem to be doing an annihilation type of campaign. Is it just to "punish" the Lebanese? If that's the case then it is likely to backfire, and breed another generation of militants.
