Shades I think people confuse intelligence or knowledge of a a subject matter with investment ability too often.

Phil often says people confuse wealth and riches with investing intelligence - that these "lucky" real estate folks think they are geniuses.

Put Guilder and the whole crew of the tech mania in the same pile of rubble with the RE bubbleheads of today.

A lot of folks have been wrong - but have you watched guilders returns over the past 5 years? Are they terrible? The worst mistake you and I can make Vosilla is to think we are smarter than everyone else - right around that time is when the market whipsaws you and leaves you broke - hehe.

As to his idea that cell phone and camera are a good mix well - I need a phone worse than I need a camera - the camera on my pda phone is practically never used. I do have a sony handycam HC85 - its all about the lens - a nice big lens can see a lot eh? But a small cellphone with a small lens is never gonna be very high quality eh?
