ALmost all corruption in DC is on the rightwing GOP side. There are very few rightwing Bushie congressmen who are not attached either to Tom Delay, Jack Abramoff or Duke Cunningham. No democrats are. And no GOP moderates than I know about are either. Also under investigation are Bill Frist (insider trading, profiting off his Medicare bill), Denny Hastert, Jerry Lewis (head of appropriations, for paying his daughter big bucks), Dennis Pombo. Plus Rick Santorum has a scam non-profit posing as a charity which pays out 50% of its money for campaign operations. That is the same illegal scam Delay and Frist have used. All these ohony charities ought to be investigated, prosecuted and shut down. the rightwing coruption is so deep it will take years to fully investigate. The investigations have hardly begun because the rightwing refuses to police itself. But when a democrat lone wolf named Jefferson got caught with his hand in the kitty, Pelosi immediately excommunicated him. That's what Republians need to start doing as well. The problem is that their leadershiop itself is dirty. So the whole bunch need to go.
