Spoken like someone who doesn't believe all that much in individual liberty in society --- who'd prefer to have a Big Daddy Government around (with all it's 'necessary' taxes to finance it's enforcement arms, etc.) to regulate what people can do with their personal lives.

Remember, the 'government knows what is best for you', right?

:-(

"There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible to live without breaking laws." --- Ayn Rand

"Buddy, If people want to gamble, they should go to Vegas or an Indian casino. On-line gambling is too easy to do, which causes more people to get addicted to it, which breaks down the core of the family, which will cause many more problems that will have to be paid by taxpayer's money."

I could use this same logic to outlaw liquor sales except in licensed bars, or tobacco sales.....we know both practices are harmful to the health of a segment of the population, thereby increasing taxpayer expense. Alchohol and alcohol related costs are enormous.

Should we go back to criminalizing booze and nicotine?
