Bush's connection to Enron is Ed Gillespie, Karl Rove running operations out of Enron headquarters, the Bush campaign using Enron jets for free all they wanted, the many fundraisers Lay and Enron threw Bush and 1.5 million contributed That isn't even pathetic evidence that Bush had anything to do with price fixing. It isn't evidence at all. The rest of your post isn't evidence either. "Close pals" or old business connections is not evidence. Lack of criticism is not evidence. A tape with Enron traders talking about how they will rake in bucks if Bush is president is also not evidence. Not just not enough evidence to convict, its no enough evidence to get an indictment, or even an investigation. Its not even enough evidence (at least by itself) for a reasonable person to conclude that anything wrong was done by Bush or Cheney, or Gillespie, or Rove, related to Enron. Companies contribute money in campaign contributions, politicians accept the money or other aid. Whether or not you like the way the system works it amounts to a zero in terms of evidence that the politicians participated in a price-fixing scheme. As far as the tape, Enron traders might reasonably think that Bush would block profitable legitimate business activities less than Clinton did. They might even think that they could work their way around regulations and make more profits from illegitimate business activities if Bush was president. But even if the later was the reason for their boasts, it doesn't tie Bush in to anything. Its not even a hint.
