There are Maquilla Dora plants built all along the border cities of Texas and Mexico. Unfortunately, it did not help the Mexicans as much as it did us. Not too long ago, they were still working in plants building Cadillac parts and Suburbans, for 6-8 bucks a day. There are big warehouses and offices in El Paso, (the counterparts of the Maquilas) where this equipment goes back and forth b/t USA and Mexico duty free.
So it is money in our(or at least the Unions) pockets.

The only advantage for avg Americans is buying products made in China for $1.00 less at WMT. Americans who shop at that traitorous retailer don't realize they've exchanged manufacturing jobs that paid family sustaining wages for much lower salaries in service industries which exclude benefits as well. Then to add insult to injury, many American employers have lured poverty stricken illegal immigrants from Mexico into the US in order to replace American workers on their payrolls. The illegals work for much lower wages and without benefits which again results in huge profits for the greedy employers at US taxpayers' expense. The shrinking US middle class is expected to pay the tab for social svcs to the illegals, and wait behind them in long lines at hospital emergency rooms. While the law-breaking American employers walk away with enormous profits, and a slave wage workforce that never makes any demands in the workplace for fear of deportation. Thankfully Congress has finally realized voters are prepared to replace them, if nothing is done to punish the lawbreaking American employers, and they fail to stem the tide of illegals crossing the border.
