You're only going to be able to change the system for younger people - all social security benefits already acrued would be paid.... Puzzle why the proposed changes in the US are always to very limited investment options. But then the US restricts individuals investment choices more than most countries anyway -the whole accredited investor thing... Really nuts that you can't invest in a hedge fund but can go into the market and short or buy OTM options and destroy your money much faster....
