Walmart buys 95% from China. That means all those goods are creating jobs in CHina and reducing jobs here. The jobs Walmart does create are the lowest level kind, where workers are exploited and not cared about, where they have to choose between food and medicine but can't have both. Walmart is also a big employer of illegal immigrants.

The real price of lower goods is a lower standard of living in the US than at any time since the 1940's when The New Deal helped create a strong Amrican middleclass, which Bushies are now attacking. And yes, that includes unions. Unions are important and should be defended not attacked.

However, the wealthy get even wealthier...no negative effects for them from NAFTA or globalization...amen.
