More people benefit from international trade than are hurt from it. Or to put it another way shut off international trade and you will cause a lot of problems for people, and hurt not just the wealthy but people across the economic spectrum.

If you're against the rich getting richer at the expense of average Americans and our deficits, vote democrat. Clearly, Bush-Cheney's biggest "accomplishment" besides miring our entire military in quicksand and mounting trillions in new deficits is to reward the very rich by showering them with unneeded gifts. That's thoroughly un-Christian of them. And look at the spending cuts Bushies make. Cuts in health care, education, public safety and keeping the environment clean, all hurting average American standards of living. Yes, you know most of the pollution and environmental messes are in neighborhoods where average Americans live.
