Murtha is motivated to save our troops' lives, you dishonest imbecile. He has always backed our military 110%, and he sees them stuck in a quagmire, in a pointless occupation with no plan, where the casualties and pressure are getting worse and worse and worse.

Only someone like Al Qaida who hates our military would want them to stay in Iraq.

Notice BTW that the GOP's fall campaign styrategy doesn't even mention Iraq. They don't even mention the biggest problem we face, a problem they themselves created by lying and misleading.

Ann...Every once in a while I like to think that somebody is standing up for something he believes in and isn't just doing what he's doing for a deceptive reason.

I don't think Murtha's the sharpest knife in the drawer, and I personally disagree with his idea of just pulling our troops out immediately, but I honestly believe the guy is more worried about the state of our military than about a leadership position.

If you've followed the difficulties in recruiting, (even with lowered standards, which makes you wonder how much lower they could get than Lyndie England) and seen the cuts they have had to make in spending in other areas, then you have to see why Murtha or any guy that cares about the military would be worried, (including me).
