That's a bit scary. If we control our own evolution, and breed out diversity, that will leave us vulnerable, imo. In the plant species we've homogenized, we find they can all be wipe out by disease due to their uniformity. Humans already have a pretty tight gene pool, I'd hate to see genes restricted. I can accept gene therapy for life and death issues, but I'd really worry about it for other things.

I agree about the genes being manipulated.

I heard that Bush and Cheney are working feverishly to identify the liberal-Democrat gene and then put an antidote in the water supply.

Could be just a rumor. :-)
