Apples needs and Dell's needs are two seperate things...what does apple need 2-3 million processors per quarter vs Dell's need of 10 million +...

I'm afraid I've missed your point. I made no mention on Dell. I was pointing out that all available information shows Intel pulling in schedules and in my opinion Apple wouldn't have finalized their conversion by well over a year if they didn't have confidence in delivery. I also responded to another's post that new NGA Intel product was available on newegg while according to the poster new AMD product supposedly released some time ago was apparently unavailable. Were AMD fanatics interested in an objective view of manufacturing capability then I would have expected them to have taken notice of this. Being an investment forum, I would think that anything that affects AMD's ability to deliver product would be of concern to investors.

Apple 2-3 mio. per Quarter ?

They'd be over the moon if they sold that many IMO !
AFAIR, Apple's WW market share is lower than 3%.
From what I can see, the PowerMacs are being snapped up before they finally disappear ( hardliner Apple fans ) , so I'd assume we're looking at a max of 2% for Intel based based .. maximum !
2% of 140 mio. CPUs = 2.8 mio. / 4Qs = 700,000 per quarter !
JMHO FWIW
