Bushies made a huge mistake dissing the French and our other allies. In actuality, Bushies never told Americans their real issue with the French. It was a corporate fight over Saddam's oil. The French company ELF had a deal with Saddam and Bush's pals in Texas and BP wanted it for themselves. So basically we went to war over oil, the one reason Bush-CHney have never admitted. We certainly didn't go to war over WMD or Al Qaida contacts because Saddam didn't have any. As we now know, Saddam was also the glue that held Iraq together. He was noxious glue, but he was glue all the same.
