Firing 150 Cruise Missiles at Al Qaida is "weak-kneed"? Besides, it took many years to put together solid evidence of what Al Qaida was and what they were up to. We didn't even know they were an organized threat until around 1996. Then Clinton went to work on them. Unfortunately they hid themselves well in Afghanistan where we have serious air-space problems. Cruise missiles were the only way to attack. Clinton also organized a Pakistani hit team to go in after Osama, but Bush disbanded it and everything else Clinton had going when he came into office.

Bush was the weak-kneed one. He did absolutely nothing on counter-terrorism before 9-11, then turned around and blamed it on Saddam, who had nothing to do with it, and Osama Bin LAden is still alive. Just amazing.

Also, you say Carter was "weak" against Iran. What if his rescue mission had succeeded? What if Reaganites hadn't bribed the Iranians to hold the hostages until after the election with arms shipment IOU's? And what did Reagan do to Iran? He "cut and ran" from Beirut after promising not to, then continuing shipping arms to Iran in exchange for hostages.
