I think Israel's target is Iran. They might go through Syria to get there, but I think they would rather convince Syria to stand aside. With the problems they are having with Hezbollah and Hamas, Israel can't afford to take anyone else on.......they've already withdrawn from Gaza. Olmert is not the military man that Sharon was...........he was a military correspondent, not a general. If Sharon was conscious, I contend that the Israeli invasion of Lebanon would not have happened. Olmert is trying to show Israel he's as strong as Sharon.....and he's not
