The point was that the average 'Lebanese' (say... a Christian, or a Druse, or a Sunni) had no more 'influence' over the Shiite Hezbollah --- so long as Lebanon had no significant military forces of it's own, no independent 'Lebanese' government, etc., and the SYRIAN MILITARY was controlling most everything --- then YOU had over the drafting of Clinton's health care proposals. Or, anything ELSE that was totally out of your hands. :-) You wouldn't be forgetting that Lebanese who tried to stand up to the Syrian influence had a strange habit of being assassinated or killed in car bombings, etc.?
