It should be noted that the rockets were fired from the central and western sectors of south Lebanon , areas under full Hezbollah control . Hezbollah's policy it to deny involvement in such activities but there is no doubt that if it wanted to, it could easily stop them . Hezbollah avoids doing so because of its close collaboration with the Palestinian terrorist organizations and because it has a fundamental interest in keeping a certain level of tension along the Israeli-Lebanese border, without demonstrating direct involvement, and in closely monitoring its situation vis-a-vis Israel.
