Most of it is my natural curiousity.......however, there are times when people are unabashedly pro one thing or another......then you have wonder what is the reason behind their strong loyalty. So if someone thinks its a bad thing for Jews to get attacked on the street in Europe (or killed in Seattle), that would be because they're "unabashadly pro" Jewish or because of a strong religiously based "loyalty"? The Christian Right has strong feelings for Israel because they believe the Israelis are the keeper of Christian artifacts. Actually they see Israel as a sign that God's hand is working in human history. American Jews have strong feelings for Israel because it is the only Jewish state. OK Those strong feelings create biases that interfere in the logical assessment of a situation. And in case you haven't noticed there are other people that have different biases too.
