Bushies should try diplomacy more often. Of course it works. But until now (23 days after letting the fighting go on) the Bush administration hasn't successfully used diplomacy a single time. For any reason. They've either refused to talk, failed to win accords or used some secret oil deal with seal an agreement.

Bushies problem is that they're so busy demonizing everyone in the world but themselves that they turn off everyone and nobody wants to make any deals with them.

BTW: France was the leader in negotiating the cease-fire, not Rice. They led, she followed. But it's a start.
