How about the "Half-hearted and Fitful Disapproval of Religious Militancy Broadly Speaking?" At least the bureaucrats could rally around that one. Or we could broaden it even further to all religion in general, so we aren't singling out just the militants. And leave out the part about disapproval, so we won't imply any value judgements. We could substitute "response to" instead, or even "taking note of" if "response" seems too harsh.

By Golly, Lane3...I think we do agree....<gg> BUT while the WOT is a terrible "handle", I'm not sure about this either: Religious Militancy Defense Initiative. (just read bland's comments and am still laughing...) But then again...we have Anti-War meaning ....(the media if they had any guts would ask the stups on the streets with the signs, just to see if they had ANY clue about the meaning of the sign they were holding...) and the War on Terror meaning....
