Elroy, Please elaborate on why you disagree with them and their logic. Do you think a region which has for centuries had many peoples of various religions and various ethnicities living in it should be changed via a violent war into a Jewish homeland, and it should then be accepted as such by the non-Jews in the region?

I brought up the fact that the USA was formed on Native American land, but that didn't impress Ted because back then "it was different."

Do you notice how you argue? You can't defuse by argument with facts so you invalidated by belitting it. It is why you are not ABB. They way you operate you can make any argument work for you..........just as bush does.

The difference is the new Americans killed 90% of the Native Americans, and then outnumbered them by 1,000 to 1. If the Israelis kill 99% of the Arabs, of course their situation would be different then.

If we applied your same logic to many other borders that exist today, we would never come to any sort of consensus whatsoever on how the map ought to be drawn.

Not true. I have a hard time thinking of another minority surrounded by a majority that hates it. But countries that might be subject to change are the small artificial creations which have huge natural resource reserves, such as Brunei. But even in Brunei's case, I'm not aware of Malaysia even raising the issue of annexing Brunei. It's hard to think of a country similar to Israel on the planet. Can you name one?

What makes the Arab objection over Israel special?

Who said it was special? What I have said is when one group takes a multi-cultural, multi-religious region, and declares that it is now THEIR specific region, all the groups that are there and are not in their religion/ethnicity are going to object. It's a common natural reaction, not a special one.

Your "Japreal" analogy really makes no sense.

Fine, forget it. It points out how Israel is pretty unique, so using my logic we would probably not have to redraw borders everywhere as you say.

If you really want to talk about an artificially drawn border, why don't you answer my question about the 38th parallel in Korea?

Errr, what was the question?!:-) Never mind, I'm pretty sure my answer will be "I don't know!"....
