People might be surprised if they see/experience what life is like in Jerusalem say on an everyday basis. Each group has its territory and maybe scared of entering the territory of the other group. But on a individual to individual basis while there isn't friendship people can get on with each other a lot of the time.

But to a lot of people down in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem is a scary, alien, dangerous, cold place they don't want to go to.

In my mother and brother's town there are a lot of recent Russians. The Morrocans etc. regard them like some kind of space aliens or something :)
