OK, here is the flip side example. Nancy Pelosi is a California liberal. She speaks to radical liberal groups and enjoys their support. She openly says she is a liberal.

So it's safe to assume that if she becomes Speaker, she will pursue a radical liberal Left Coast progressive agenda that is wildly out of sync with the heartland American voters.

I draw the conclusion from a preponderance of evidence before me.

I didn't bother looking at her actual statements, policies or other actions. I don't need to when I can just draw the conclusion that suits me to bash her.

Sound fair to you? Why not?

Partisan politics is all about mirror images of the same thing being done on both sides.
