Since I escaped my Bible Belt roots long ago and don't keep up with the Rapture stuff, what would a US president with a literal belief in the Rapture do in his foreign policy to make it conform to the whole Revelations story?

I think Bush is at ease with the evangelical culture, but he has given us no evidence that he is one of the hardcore Final Days believers.

As I typed to Dale upstream, I doubt you would ever see hard proof of this from GWB, even if he were a hard core believer (which I don't think he is); it would be political suicide.

As with so many other matters, you have to read the smoke signals and listen for the code words and phrases.

I will attempt to post a more substantively documented case when I get the chance.

I don't think you have to be hard core for it to affect your decision making. Of course I would need to know what you mean by hard core and soft core.
