Hi Michael....I may not be avble to respond to any posts to me until I get back from trip staritng tomorrow. But wanted to throw this comment into the mix.

As for getting "reasonable people to the table....who would that be to bring peace to MEast?? I know you scoff at AIPAC and jewish control media type commentary, but the facts are that NEITHER party dishes out the constructive advice/criticism to Iz that Europeans do.

The rest of world sees our bias and that is greatly reponsible for the sad but true wave of genuine anti-semiticism coming from non-arab europeans. It's just a matter of time before USA public feels the same, I fear.

Why hasn't either party really confronted Israeli govts. thru the years except for a few, such a Chuck Hagel recently? We know AIPAC is most influencial lobby after AARP in terms of money and clout.

I just think the weight of the evidence indicates that campaign contributions and other 'influences' of jewish groups such as the number of influential jews in the state dept. profoundly shapes the rhetoric coming from both sides of the aisle.

Why else is this country so one-sided when it comes to Israel?
