Hi Kirk - I am finally at my break even point from when HPQ bought out my CPQ back when I invested in CPQ in October 1998.

You were lucky Carly was so generous with our money that she paid you such a premium to take over Compaq. I still think she overpaid then wasted more company dollars pushing the deal through. Yes, the deal has added value to HP, but I'm unsure the value was worth the price.... the lower prices gained by squeezing PC and laptop suppliers, then eliminating competition for shelfspace now seems to be now paying off and might prove she was right, but was just too poor at execution.
