The riverfront has almost completely changed in the last two years from the Ren Center upstream. A walkway along the river, coupled with a strip park in at the Ren Center, complete with quiet music from speakers on site. It's almost nice.

GM has created a huge glass atrium out of the river side of the Ren Cen. There are full grown palm trees inside and you have several stories of glass looking out on the river. It's quite nice in there. The front entrance also has a huge nice looking piece of art outside. The center itself still looks like a concrete monolith at the base.

There is reason for hope that Detroit will revitalize itself but progress is slow.
