giving gays basic human rights...

I'm sorry, but I have to ask -- doesn't this sound ridiculous to you?

Have we lost sight that "gayness" is a sexual preference?

Can you somehow relate this to "basic human rights"?

Is the kind of sex one prefers really that important?

Is sex for ANYONE that important?

What are the "basic human rights" that are being denied to gays?

Are bi-sexuals (for example) also being denied "basic human rights"? (Or maybe just half of those human rights?)

What about those who favor self-sex?

Give me a break.......
