What would happen if Israel openly discussed with the US the idea of ending talks with the Government of Lebanon (they have no power anyway) and open talks with Hizbollah about prisoners, peace and including Syria in the talks about the farms in question.

I just said call hizbolla insurgents rather than terrorists and the debate takes a different turn.

If they were insurgents, they would be attacking the Lebanese army, and/or government. However, I will concur that they are a separatist political insurgency seeking to claim their own sovereign right to conduct foreign policy.

Can't agree on the definitions about they being terrorists Mike.. Gotta call a spade a spade here..

They are terrorists because they DELIBERATELY TARGET civilians for the purpose of obtaining a political result.

They are a illegal militia because they do not submit to the authority of the Lebanese government.

They are a military proxy of Syria and Iran because they are funded and armed by these countries, and NOT the Lebanese government.
