They don't get anything more than minimal support. If they do get any media coverage, it is only to show how "freakish" they are. I have heard radio hosts lambast all "eco freaks" even on supposedly liberal radio stations. Of course, they do mention that there are responsible and respectable environmentalists around, but nobody ever gets to see them!

Massive greedy polluters create environmental extremists. The polluters and plunderers started by putting their personal greed and short-sighted schemes above and beyond the public good and longterm well-being. Under Bush-Cheney the polluters are being allowed to do pretty much whatever they want. It's really criminal.
