Sam makes a good point. Yes Israel has been bitching about hizbolla forever but this was the first time there was a planned kidnapping and coordinated rocket attack. We were hit on 9/11 as Sam points out and we attempted to make contact with the Taliban before we went to war. This might have been useful for israel to do. Who knows now what lebanon might have done. And if it was nothing and a week had elapsed, so what.

But Taliban had nothing to do with 9/11 that was Al Qaeda, and no you didn't try to get in touch with Osama and ask why. Lebanon is on record as saying they had no control of Hizbollah. The lebanese army hadn't been to South Lebanon for years, Hizbollah didn't allow it. Israel's first mistake was not killing Nasrallah before they started bombing. After he was dead The war should have started with an accidental strike on the Iranian Embassy with their biggest bomb but Nasrallah and his top aides should have had an Israeli team sent to kill all of them months ago. Same with all the heads of hamas. The way to solve the problem with Islam is to put boat loads of Clerics on a fast trip to paradise
