it's not what I want. It is what it is. the seeds for our problems were sown on Jekyl Island in 1910. we may as well make the best of it. I am a white farmer in 1980's zimbabwe - I know the future - what can I do besides hoard shiny metal so that I am not laying dead in a puddle of blood in 10-20 years? Throw up my hands and say - no hope - no chance - come to me grim reaper! If what you say is true - I don't understand people like Calculated Risk who seem to imply post after post after post that different political leadership would have caused different results in the world. If what you say is true - that nothing can be done - why vote or care who gets elected or what laws are made? Why worry about what bank examiners enforce or what loantechs put people into - there is no hope after all - nothing can be done - we are just helpless rubber duckies floating in a great sea of chaos.
