I guess the promoter had an idea about a way to repackage the band and they weren't buying it. muy bueno! this is VERY good news! this will allow them to remain true to the revolution and "walk the talk" or "dance the song", so to speak. they can use the "new network business model" a.k.a. NNBM. they can incorporate a "blog" and maybe even a "wiki" into their website to facilitate the network. i LOVE it! instead of selling their souls to an old fashioned 20th century, top down, professional management model, they can be the first to surrender their management to the universe... a bottom up, networked model where the fans are empowered to promote and facilitate tours, schedules, venues, CD sales and "la revolución" products. the grateful dead and jimmy buffet have been very successful for years by leaving their concert promotion up to the dead heads and the parrot heads. cotr has mucho mas talent and drive than jimmy AND the dead. i'm not that familiar with the dead concerts (wharfy is) but i know that you can never find a buffet concert that is not sold out as soon as tickets go on sale. one factor that the dead and jimmy have in common is that they're not selling a "persona" they're marketing an "abstract feeling", a "lifestyle", a "joy", a "freedom". they "dance their song" with full integrity and commitment to those ideals and in so doing, they are representative leaders of those ideals for millions. cotr is the perfect group to be the representative leaders of our "revolución" of love, universal brotherhood, international understanding and freedom of expression. being in the audience as a participant promotes an empowering feeling - it makes you feel that you are facilitating the "revolución". being a part of the network of management for cotr will be equally fulfilling for the "revolutionaries" (cotr's equivalent of the dead heads and parrot heads). a new network business model would be perfect for them. a political solution is not viable in reaching the people's revolutionary goal of living in harmony with nature and with people of all nations. there are too many lies, misunderstandings and bad karma built up for us to unravel and correct them with any form of politics. politics is a tool for human motivation based on emotion controlled by words and logic... too faulty for success. religion has the same problem. bad tools... words and logic, words and logic. violence won't work either. there's always a more lethal weapon waiting to be built and used... and threats of pain and death have always been ineffective motivators. so what am i suggesting? music and dance. music and dance can be tools of human motivation based on emotion that bypass words and logic and their inherent shortcomings of ambiguity and misunderstanding. they're universally popular, not prone to fatal errors and... people LIKE them! :-) once the heart is touched the love begins to spill over into "right action" in the daily lives and work of the people. politicians, preachers and commanders-in-chief become 10% kinder and life on the planet grows a little more tolerable. (i could be lying about this... but it feels true, so i said it.) ;-) share this with the cotr and if this sounds to them like it resonates with their plans... and if they want me to delve more deeply into the details of a NNBM plan for "the people's" management and promotion of cotr, have them shoot me an email saying, "go for it. we want to hear more." then i'll do some more research and get with kath and others to produce a proposal or at least some guidance they can consider. they could be bigger than the beatles. <ng> -polvo de estrella
