Good grief! Even on an adult level, no one "wins" an Oscar
anymore. The Oscar just "goes to" someone. How silly is that?


I don't think that is silly at all.

Acting is not a competitive sport. You are not out their to give a great performance to beat someone else's performance.

Unless everyone is performing the same script, it is comparing apples to oranges.

Winning does not apply to everything.

Winning does not always mean someone has to lose.

There are win win situations.

Competition is not always healthy.

You can't structure competition where a lot of kids are labeled losers.

There are times when you have to teach kids to cooperate to win.

Dog eat dog philosophy is more often harmful than good.
