You must be fun at parties.

There are billions of possible things that qualify as "not breaking Al Qaeda", ranging from ones that heavily damage Al Qaeda but leave it intact, through results that have little or no effect on Al Qaeda, to having a situation where Al Qaeda is strengthened.

You could have said something like this and saved yourself the confusion and exactly how many posts going over and over and over this thing? I told you what my impression of your statement was and you keep arguing that my impression shouldn't be my impression. As I said, you must be lots of fun at parties.

But that hasn't been established

That's because there's no oversight in a one party rule police state.

You keep going over nits while ignoring the central issue. FISA warrants are not hard to obtain given so few are ever denied. The wiretap can be started and the warrant obtain later so timing is not an issue.

Why then did the Bushies not simply go by the letter of the law? It's not onerous, it's not a time problem...in fact, other than the Bushies doing something seriously wrong (big leap here) what's the rational explanation for this whole argument?

I'm trying to keep all of us free. Why are you so eager to be a slave?
