I had a pretty hard time reading the URL you referenced, Jochen. ;-)

That seems to be a pretty nice piece of glass.

Very impressive for what it is!

Impressive bang for the buck! Never heard of it, had to look it up. Nicely compact, thanks to the mirror design. Fun package!

Oh, and speaking of Czech Airlines, my son flew into Prague last week, with a one way ticket. Starts working for Isifa
[ new2.isifa.com ] Monday morning. Had you told me this would transpire, back when I was a kid and dad blazed our getaway from what was then deadly serious communist Czechoslovakia, I'd have certainly taken you for a dreamer, at best.

Life's spiraling mirror staircase, gotta love it! :-)

Which reminds me -- got Skype [ skype.com ] ? I'm michaldaniel.

An update to the Walimex 500 mm f/8 samples - tonight I had the chance to take the obligatory moon shot. This is what it will look for you tonight in the USA in a cloudless sky:

Nikon D70 with Beroflex/Walimex 500 mm f/8 on tripod, manual exposure ISO 200 - 1/125 s - f/8, last one of four continuous images with finger on release button as a substitute for mirror lock-up, RAW converted and edited in Nikon Capture NX 1.0.1, black and white. The posted picture is a 100% crop.
